The aptly named Dark eyes will leave you mesmerised whilst admiring is black-purple sumptuous beauty. Its sought-after for its forgiving and drought-tolerant nature, making it suited to beginner gardeners. Blooming from July–September, it’s great for adding late-interest and a brooding depth to the garden. This clematis’ abundant, 10cm-wide flowers are pinned together with long pollen covered anthers, and its velvety appearance and compact, manageable growth makes it ideal for a pot.
