Description

With full, frilly, double blooms, this spring flowering hybrid has the most appropriate name imaginable. Its aptly called "High Fragrance" and this very accurate as its the most scented Camellia you'll find on the market. What more could you want? Its super hardy to -20C and its glossy veil of healthy evergreen leaves makes the perfect back the large, romantic dusky pink blossoms. We think its a spring must!

Cultural Notes

  • Soil - Prefers humus-rich, ericaceous, moist but well-drained.
  • Position - Dappled or part shade
  • Cutting - Yes
  • Flowering - Spring. (Camellia Sasanquas flower October- February)
  • Additional Information - Mulch with leaf mould or shredded bark. Dislikes cold, drying winds and early morning sun. Once established the plant accepts harsh pruning after flowering.
