Description

Distinct and demure, the compact size of this Camellia makes it a sought after choice for gardens with limited space, as it will never outgrow a patio pot. Flowering from January to April, its charming pink flowers will fill your garden with a gorgeous perfume throughout the cold months.

Cultural Notes

  • Soil - Prefers humus-rich, ericaceous, moist but well-drained.
  • Position - Dappled or part shade
  • Cutting - Yes
  • Flowering - Spring. (Camellia Sasanquas flower October- February)
  • Additional Information - Mulch with leaf mould or shredded bark. Dislikes cold, drying winds and early morning sun. Once established the plant accepts harsh pruning after flowering. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser in the spring and summer but do not overfeed. Water established plants in dry weather to stop the buds from dropping. Protect from extended heavy freezes. Mulch to keep roots cool. Fully hardy perennial.
