Description

One of the most popular winter flowering plants, Hellebores are loved for their unsurpassed winter beauty. Huge, cup shaped, blousy blooms will poke their heads through the snow from January to march above glossy, evergreen foliage in a mix of complementary colours.

Cultural Notes

  • Soil - Moist, well drained
  • Position - Partial shade
  • Cutting - Yes
  • Flowering - Late winter to early spring
  • Additional Information - Apply mulch in July and December when flowers are forming to give the plants a boost in nutrients. Strong sunlight all day may discourage the plants from flowering. All parts may cause stomach upset if ingested. Contact with sap may cause skin allergies. Deer resistant. Propagate by division after flowering. Fully hardy perennial.
